The Smallest Tank That Allied Crews Feared Most
Think size equals power? The "Hetzer" proves otherwise. 🇩🇪🛡️
Standing at just 2.1 meters tall, the Jagdpanzer 38(t) was one of the most effective ambush predators of WWII. Built on a reliable Czech chassis, its sloped armor and low profile made it nearly invisible in the brush—and a nightmare for Allied tank crews to target.
With a 7.5cm gun that could punch through armor from 1,000 meters away, the Hetzer proved that in warfare, strategy and stealth often beat raw size. Did you know? The Hetzer only weighed 16 tons—half the weight of an M4 Sherman!
