Acrylic on paper
H 70 x W 50 cm

Reza Shafahi (b.1940, Iran) a self-taught artist who amongst his previous incarnations was a trained wrestler, first started painting in 2012 at the ripe age of 72, as part of the long-term art project, Daddy S***m, by his son Mamali Shafahi.

The initial idea was for father and son to work on identical subjects and show them side-by-side in the Daddy S***m exhibition in Paris.

Since then, Reza Shafahi has continued drawing from his own imagination and with his own inspiration.

His work has been exhibited by Magic of Persia (Dubai), Marlborough Chelsea Gallery, New York, SpazioA Gallery in Pistoia (curated by Martha Kirszenbaum) and in a one-man show atthe Erratum Galerie, Berlin.

The Sybil, 2023

Oil on cotton
H 144 x W 101 x D 2 cm

In The Sybil, Francisco Mendes Moreira explores the enduring resonance of a prophetic figure that transcends ages and cultures.

Inspired both by the ancient Greek oracle and by Portuguese writer Agustina Bessa-Luis’s novel A Sibila, the painting captures a moment suspended between vision and collapse - a figure illuminated and undone by the same light.

Through his distinctive balance of neocubist structure and intuitive gesture, Mendes Moreira turns a simple table scene into a meditation on foresight, fragility, and inner revelation.

The result is at once personal and mythic, bridging literary memory with painterly imagination.

Graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris-Cergy, Mamali Shafahi creates work that moves between sculpture, installation, performance, and film.

His practice explores the porous boundaries between technology and mythology, weaving together past, present, and future into sensorial narratives.

Shafahi’s works invite viewers to question their own roles within the shifting realities of a hyperconnected world.

Tool #20, Santa Pola (ES), 2021

Double light function, magistra blueback 120 gr., acrylics, pigmented wall paste on steel pole, orange brick base
H 190 cm x W 35 cm x D 10 cm

Max Kesteloot transforms everyday materials into a sculptural constellation that hovers between functionality and poetry. A brick becomes a plinth, a pole an axis, and the wiring of lightbulbs sketches out an improvised circuitry - fragile yet precise.

Kesteloot’s practice originates in what he calls “things he could have painted.” Working from an extensive archive of photographs and short films, he frames the unnoticed: a street corner, a blurred gesture, a memory halted mid-zoom.

His works dwell in the tension between stillness and motion, presence and absence, always attuned to the quiet residue of images.

Whether on canvas, paper, or in sculptural form, his works are driven by a bodily sensitivity to space and image - like a private choreography, a personal recipe, a way of making the invisible linger.

Untitled (26 - large), 2022

Florian Hetz (b. 1980, Germany) uses photography in a process of mapping, navigating his life and his milieu through visual artifacts.

Having suffered encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain, Hetz’s memory was significantly affected and he was left with extensive memory loss. Photography served as a tool to mitigate this and ultimately provided a point of departure for his practice.

This accounts for the fragmented nature of Hetz’s work, which is suggestive of its link to memory.

Scene 11, 2021

Oil on canvas
H 120 x W 100 cm

A raw, psychological landscape where emotion drips off every brushstroke. Trude Viken is a colorist without restraint—her palette pulses with fleshy pinks, ashy greys, witchy greens, and sudden bursts of red and yellow.

In Scene 11, faces twist and dissolve into ecstatic grimaces and vacant stares, caught mid-transformation.

These aren’t just portraits—they’re visceral mirrors of our interior chaos. Viken’s use of oil paint is almost sculptural, layered thickly, repainted, reformed. Each figure feels like a passing mood, a fleeting impulse captured in motion.

Unfiltered and unnerving, her work is both seductive and repulsive—a ghoulish family album rendered in strokes of vulnerability, madness, and magic.
