Belgian artist Patrick Vertenten likes to play with light, or the absence of it - his figures are never quite fully recognizable. Veiled behind lace. Dissolved into it. Turned away, just out of reach.

That same light carries the color - amber, ochre, gold - mysterious and warm at once, as if each figure were caught mid-reveal, half-lit and half-hidden.

In the spotlight: two faces of Val Saint Lambert crystal.

“Parisiana,” is a stunning coupe designed by Charles Graffart, in cased plum-and-white crystal and cut in a radiant starburst.

The green vase is known as ‘model V113’ and boasts emerald green beneath a cascade of hand-cut facets, its origins as elusive as its beauty.

Sacred space. Secular object. The link between the 2 is GRID - a ceramic sideboard handcrafted in Belgium by Devi Nestor Rotsen Vervaeke .

Stunning, colorful and unpredictable - the surprising line play and natural shine of the ceramics make it a piece without precedent. Every stripe, every glaze, every apparent imperfection: the hand of the maker, deliberately left visible.

A child lost in thought. That is what the painting first evokes. But the story goes a lot broader: Belgian painter .kenis portrayed his own son. And does that so delicately, with details that only a father could notice and only an excellent artist could paint.

Frank works in layers. Light bleeds through. Paint drips. The bonnet strings hang like brushstrokes that forgot to stop. This painting is tender and raw at the same time. But above all, quietly masterful.

In de militaire kapel heeft kunstgalerij Le Salon de Léon de deuren geopend. De zeventiende-eeuwse kerk herbergt voortaan klassiek en hedendaags werk van bekende en minder bekende kunstenaars. “Dit is echt een passieproject”, zeggen initiatiefnemers Pascal Vranckx en Ann Van Steenkiste.

It’s finally time to open our doors to you! 💛

Months of searching, hauling, hanging, doubting, rehanging, tearing down, starting over. A lot of coffee. Very little sleep. And a chapel that slowly, quietly began to breathe.

Today we open the doors of our new home. Inside a Military Chapel that was ready to hold something beautiful.

Come in. Look around. Feel it.

Today is our last day at Hof Sebrechts.

Two years of eclecticism, curiosity, and beautiful finds in a unique space we called home. We’re so grateful for every visit, every conversation, every piece that found a new owner here.

Before we close the doors, there are still some beautiful pieces at a special price. So drop by and have a look.
