De Velt-ecotuindagen zijn de hoogdagen voor iedereen die van ecologisch tuinieren houdt. Ruim 200 tuineigenaars stellen een weekend lang hun ecologische tuin op voor het grote publiek.

07.06 – Jardins bruxellois entre Art & Nature
Au-delà des façades, Bruxelles se dévoile côté jardin. Une invitation à explorer ses lieux cachés où la nature et l’art dialoguent en secret.

AgwA and architecten jan de vylder inge vinck win the EUmies Award 2026! Nikolaus Hirsch, jury member of this year’s award and Artistic Director of Kanal Architecture, congratulates the architects who have been inspiring collaborators since the beginning of his tenure in Brussels in 2020. « Their project in Charleroi is exemplary for a new practice that is currently reshaping the very definition of architecture”.
Kanal Architecture honours the architects with a book launch (Ruby Press) and celebratory drinks on 29.04 at 19:00.

WORKSHOP | Penser / classer. Trouver ?

Dans le cadre de la préparation de la future bibliothèque au Kanal, les équipes de Kanal Architecture et de KANAL se sont réunies lors d’un workshop interne consacré à la réflexion autour de la classification des collections. Ce moment d’échange et de travail collectif nous permet d’imaginer de nouvelles manières d’organiser et de rendre accessibles les ressources de la bibliothèque.

Un pas de plus dans la construction de la bibliothèque de demain.

As part of the preparation of the future library at Kanal, the teams from Kanal Architecture and KANAL gathered for an internal workshop dedicated to reflecting on the classification of the collections. This collaborative session allowed us to explore new ways of organising and making the library’s resources more accessible.

Another step in shaping the library of tomorrow.

In het kader van de voorbereiding van de toekomstige bibliotheek in Kanal kwamen de teams van Kanal Architecture en KANAL samen voor een interne workshop rond de classificatie van de collecties. Tijdens deze gezamenlijke werksessie onderzochten we nieuwe manieren om de bibliotheekbronnen te organiseren en toegankelijker te maken.

Een nieuwe stap in de ontwikkeling van de bibliotheek van morgen.

CIVA BECOMES KANAL ARCHITECTURE

ᴇɴ | CIVA is accompanying its relocation to Kanal—an important milestone for the institution—with a change of name. Under the name Kanal Architecture, the museum clearly affirms its field of action: architecture, landscape, and urban ecosystems, approached in a transdisciplinary way and in relation to contemporary social, cultural, and environmental issues.

ꜰʀ | CIVA accompagne son déménagement à Kanal avec un changement de nom, marquant une étape majeure pour l’institution. Sous le nom Kanal Architecture, le musée affirme clairement son champ d’action: l’architecture, le paysage et les écosystèmes urbains, abordés de façon transdisciplinaire et en lien avec les enjeux sociaux, culturels et environnementaux contemporains.

MOVE ON WEEKEND | A look back on our closing weekend.

As part of our preparations for the move to Kanal, the CIVA building officially closes its doors today, 19.12.2025. This transition marks the beginning of a new chapter: we will welcome you on 28.11.2026 for the opening of Kanal, in a new building offering larger spaces and a central location. The entire team is excited to share an ambitious and inspiring programme with you on the occasion of this reopening.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend and over the past years — you brought this place to life. 🫶
