The project, Liminal Space for Scope Art Fair, explores inheritance and transition. Using the artist’s own face to re-imagine his Anglo-Indian relatives and ancestors, the works propose the self as a cumulative body — shaped by lineage, memory, and time.

Back in Brussels after an intense and unforgettable week at SCOPE Art Fair.

Grateful to have been awarded the Curatorial Grant and to open the fair as the very first booth.

Huge appreciation to the SCOPE team, the artists, collectors, and everyone who crossed our path — the conversations and opportunities were exceptional.

2025

Lawson Wang, a multidisciplinary artist whose practice moves fluidly between painting, poetry, and fashion. Self-trained in the arts but rooted in a background in applied mathematics and statistics, Wang approaches creation as both an external exploration of the world and an internal journey of perception and self-reflection.
Through oil painting, mixed media, and text-based works, he investigates the subtle dynamics between being seen and seeing, the shifting mirrors of identity and collective perception. His visual language is dreamlike and layered, often embedding hidden details and surreal elements that invite viewers into a slow process of discovery—an antidote to fleeting, fast-consumed images.
Wang extends his paintings beyond the canvas into wearable art, zines, and installations, crafting immersive narratives where colour, poetry, and fabric converge. His projects often echo the rhythm of literature and fashion, transforming visual art into multi-dimensional worlds that embrace ambiguity, introspection, and quiet harmony.
He recently finished the residency in Het bos and is starting new residency at MerksemDok and Fameus.

Anna Urazova is an Antwerp-based visual artist who graduated from the Academy of Art and Design in Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 2012. Her first education gave her an excellent academic background. Since then, Anna has combined her designer position with her artistic and teaching practice. Her dedication to her craft culminated in her graduation from the Karel de Grote Hogeschool Campus Sint Lucas Antwerp with a Master of Arts in Visual Arts in 2022.
Anna’s work has been showcased in several exhibitions and festivals, such as the Antwerp Q***r Art Festival, Playing Peripheral at the Art Telex Gallery, the Antwerpen Art Festival, Fresh Legs International Contemporary Art at Galleri Heike Arndt DK, Berlin, and her solo exhibition Somatic at Galerij Verbeeck Van Dyck, Antwerp.
She is currently a resident of Toi-toi Drome studio, where she is working on a new series of drawings.
