[CURRENT SHOW] « ≈ 530 nanomètres », a group show with Stijn Cole, Fernanda Fragateiro, Gauthier Hubert, Gudny Rosa Ingimarsdottir, Guillermo Mora, Marija Rinkeviciute, Bernard Villers and Tatiana Wolska

« The color green is perceived by the human eye at the center of the visible spectrum, making it one of the most luminous and detectable colors. Yet our conception of the color spectrum does not include a clear distinction between the hues of the chromatic range. No boundary, even one chosen arbitrarily, clearly separates yellow from green, nor green from blue. In this spectrum of visible colors, where each perceived nuance corresponds to a specific radiation and wavelength, the approximate center of the color green can be located at 530 nanometers. The works presented here fall, entirely or in part, within this range. » – Amélie Bataille

[CURRENT SHOW] 'fingers in a red state but not yet bleeding', a solo show by Guðný Rósa Ingimarsdóttir

« It is clear that Guðný Rósa Ingimarsdóttir’s work does not follow a linear, productive approach based on any attempt at completion. On the contrary, it remains eternally open to transformation, reactivation, or even disappearance, according to a modus operandi that arises from ante-predicative interventions carried out within a vast laboratory of diverse forms and materials, created and collected, but carefully preserved throughout her life as a woman, mother, and artist. Photography, just like sewing, writing, drawing, or peeling—other techniques dear to the artist—is considered as one material among others, capable of being manipulated, altered, and reinvested according to moods and contexts. » – Clémentine Davin

[CURRENT SHOW] "Collage, décollage, recollage", a solo show by Bernard Villers

"The works presented here span a period from the 1970s to 2025. It is striking how, despite a gap of more than forty years, these works respond to each other and follow the same logic. It is as if the artist, after many years, returns to play a game that had been set aside for a while." - Marie Verboven

[CURRENT SHOW] "She always starts by planting a tree", a solo show by Fernanda Fragateiro

“With her installation, Fragateiro aims to bring together aspects of Van Hee work, crystallized into fragments, within a well-considered spatial setting. The exhibition space is a defining element in her story. The poetic relationship between the interior and exterior space is one of the themes in the work of both women.” - Marc Dubois

Visit the exhibition until Saturday 25.10

Great article by Echo Gone Wrong about our last exhibition 'What remains', a solo show of Marija Rinkeviciute !

Before I got the opportunity to experience Marija Rinkevičiūtė’s artistic work and her excellent exhibition at the Irène Laub Gallery, I kept thinking What Remains would be an ideal title for an essay collection, an exhibition or any kind of artistic project. The phrase, ‘what remains’, st...

[ARTIST NEWS] this summer, visit Bernard Villers’ exhibition « Collage, décollage, recollage » at the Collage Museum of the Verbeke Foundation

[FILM SCREENINGS] Lucile Bertrand’s film “Les inoubliables” will be presented at Été 78 in Brussels between Friday 13 June and Saturday 21 June.

Thirteen women interpret in their own languages the texts of twenty-five poetesses from different eras and continents, who never knew each other, but who nevertheless shared the same preoccupations. The script is built solely on these poems, which respond to each other, producing a series of conversations about constraints, wars and struggles, but also about the writing, relationships with others and one’s place in the world.

Screenings are free of charge, but the venue can only accommodate 30 people at a time.

[CURRENT SHOW] Visit "What remains", Marija Rinkeviciute's solo show at the gallery !

« Marija Rinkeviciute invents a vocabulary of shapes that lure us into their light and matter. Her play with paper, linen, wood, cardboard and other mixed media creates a poetic confusion between gravity and lightness, echoing the artist’s movement between the mundane and sheer poesy. » - Tania Nasielski
