As announced a few months ago, following the end of our lease and our departure from our small Brussels space, we are delighted to return for 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗰 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 while working on something special that will be unveiled soon…

We will present new works by our gallery artists and Friends, and we are grateful to have worked closely with both the artists and the fair to bring this presentation to life.

‘𝐸𝑙 𝑆𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑟 𝑑𝑒 𝑙𝑎𝑠 𝑆𝑒𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑠‘ the sculptural work of Mexican artist 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿 (1991, Monterrey) 🌞

“At the core of this series lies Monterrey black marble, a material with both geological and emotional weight. Rather than sourcing new stone, Cortazar worked with discarded fragments and rubble, leftover pieces carefully preserved over the years. This choice reflects her deep awareness of her surroundings and a sensitivity to the materials at hand. By giving new life to what might otherwise be overlooked, she maintains a thoughtful dialogue with the landscape and honours its quiet permanence. Each fragment becomes a gesture of attention, an act of acknowledging what already exists“

Tonight from 6pm we are excited to announce our last solo exhibition of the year titled:
‘𝐸𝑙 𝑆𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑟 𝑑𝑒 𝑙𝑎𝑠 𝑆𝑒𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑠‘
presenting the sculptural work of Mexican artist 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿 (1991, Monterrey)

This series was conceived and created in La Huasteca, a vast natural park in Monterrey where 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿 lives and works.
The sculptures are inspired by the natural elements that surround her, seeds, tree trunks, cactus, flowers, and the river, entities she regards as living presences, companions that shape her daily experience and connect her deeply to the land she inhabits…

𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐨 (1979, Luanda, Angola) // 𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘦

…”Rooted in a deep exploration of textile as cultural artefact and living memory, 𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘦 takes its name from the Kimbundu word for cloth. It traces the intimate connection between body and memory through textile works that serve not merely as garments, but as active, liminal spaces of cultural resonance.

Originally worn by the Ambundu people, these textiles are reimagined as thresholds neither fully clothing nor static object charged with ancestral presence. Like a second skin, cast off yet still pulsing with meaning, 𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘦 disturbs the quiet familiarity of the domestic, transforming fabric into a medium of disruption, presence, and reflection”…
