Design Museum Gent Design Museum Gent reopens on 3 October with free exhibitions, activities, a design market, and an inner garden brunch. Under the banner of 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘁 Design Fest Gent , the festivities will then spread across the city until 11 October, exploring surprising creative hotspots — including Kunsthal Gent.
From October 3 to 11, we are open to the public every day from 11:00 to 18:00. You can visit both the Endless Exhibition and the Temporary Centre for Shared Practice.
𝟬𝟯.𝟭𝟬 — 𝟭𝟭.𝟭𝟬 | 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲
This autumn, Kunsthal Gent is handing over the keys. Our space is currently transforming into a temporary workshop for young artists. With the Temporary Centre for Shared Practice, they are taking over our operations until the end of December, turning Kunsthal Gent into a shared place for experiment, encounter, and exchange.
𝟬𝟯.𝟭𝟬 — 𝟭𝟭.𝟭𝟬 | 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
What if an exhibition is never packed up again, but stays put forever? With Endless Exhibition, designer and curator Prem Krishnamurthy gives the art world a wake-up call. Through texts, images, conversations, and contracts, Prem Krishnamurthy raises sharp questions about how we deal with space, time, and materials. At Kunsthal Gent, that idea is given full room to breathe: layer by layer, Endless Exhibition continues to build on new ideas and insights.
𝟬𝟵.𝟭𝟬 | 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 (𝟮𝟬:𝟬𝟬)
On Friday 9 October edition, Kunsthal Gent is joining forces with Open Design Lab: a platform and learning program that brings together art, inclusion, and open-source design with and for newcomers to Belgium. Participating artists and alumni of Open Design Lab will fill the evening with presentations, work, and stories from the lab.
