WINDOWS OF DESIGN
Design Museum Gent

Inspired by the theme of Design Fest Gent—’All Our Voices. Together!’—the shop windows bring together diverse stories, ideas, and makers.

They offer a glimpse into contemporary creativity, where craftsmanship meets everyday urban life.

Galerie Pont en Plas is delighted to participate in this unique city-wide trail.

We are showcasing the work of Anneleen Swillen, Gésine Hackenberg, Isabelle Azaïs, Jorgé Manilla, Märta Mattsson & Studio DŌ (Dana Seachuga & Octave Vandeweghe).

Five distinct practices, five unique voices, united by a curiosity about material, form, meaning, and the relationship between object and human.

It is a special experience for Pont en Plas to be part of this. We watched the new museum take shape from our gallery and look forward to seeing its doors reopen alongside the rest of the city.

A world of transformation, imagination, and nature in artistic form.

In *Aline in Wonderland II – We Love Butterflies*, the butterfly takes center stage as a powerful symbol of change, transience, and renewed beauty.

The exhibition takes visitors on a poetic journey where art, nature, and imagination converge.
The artworks blend geometric forms with inspiration drawn from nature. Materials such as wood, stone, metal, pearls, ... and color take on new meaning in objects that feel both fragile and powerful. Sculptural creations invite the audience to look, explore, and be moved.

Beyond their aesthetic appeal, the works convey a message about biodiversity. Butterflies and insect life are presented as vital links in the natural balance. The exhibition encourages a fresh perspective on the everyday and on the hidden beauty that often goes unnoticed.

*Aline in Wonderland II – We Love Butterflies* is an invitation to embrace a sense of wonder. Each piece tells a story of transformation, reminding us that change is not only inevitable but also a source of beauty and hope.

AKIKO KURIHARA'S
work are returning to Japan!

This Friday and Saturday are the LAST DAYS that the work of Akiko Kurihara is in gallery Pont & Plas.

It is with both admiration and a touch of sadness that we wish to inform you that the work of our beloved artist Akiko Kurihara will soon no longer be on display or for sale at Galerie Pont en Plas. Akiko and her unique, humorous and technically impressive work will return to Japan, where she will take new steps in her artistic journey. We are grateful for the beauty, subtlety, colorful jewellery and wonder she has shared with us and our visitors. We wish Akiko every success and inspiration in this new chapter and hope to welcome her work again in the future.
