Mireille Robbe Art , Mireille Robbe engages in a dialogue with visual memory by re-examining historical engravings—images of power, religion, and authority. She breaks through their closed nature by introducing organic forms into them faces dissolve into sea urchins, flowers shift symbolism, roots and hybrid structures pry themselves loose from their material. What once seemed stable becomes unstable and fluid. In both prints and sculptures, a space of metamorphosis thus emerges, in which history loses its self-evidence and rewrites itself in the present. REVOIR thus appears not merely as a title, but as a method: a way of looking that detaches the past from its fixation and reimagines it as a living, malleable field in which memory and imagination generate new stories.
