We worden veertig en stellen onze (geheime) deuren open! 🥳

Aan de rand van de stad, als toegangspoort tot de Bloemekenswijk, verrijst ons imposante, beschermde monument uit 1857. Ooit gebouwd als een hermetisch gesloten 'modelgesticht' om 'krankzinnigen' buiten de samenleving te plaatsen, vieren we vandaag op Open Monumentendag onze veertigste verjaardag als een door en door publieke, warme vrijhaven voor cultureel erfgoed, kunst en al wat ‘anders’ is.

Tijdens exclusieve rondleidingen krijgt u een unieke blik achter de schermen. Wandel door de historische gangen, ontdek verborgen ruimtes en tuinen die normaal strikt gesloten blijven voor bezoekers.

Koczÿ’s reeks 𝐽𝑒 𝑣𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑡𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑒 𝑢𝑛 𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑢𝑙 is een ingetogen herdenking van de Holocaust. Vanaf 1970 komt het trauma tot uiting in inkttekeningen. Elke herhaalde zwarte lijn wordt een draad van een lijkwade: een symbolisch ritueel voor wie nooit een waardig afscheid kreeg.
