At the time when the art world turns once again toward the Venice Biennale, it is worth remembering that one of the greatest architects and designers of the 20th century was Venetian: Carlo Scarpa.
A master of detail, light and material, Scarpa developed a unique dialogue between architecture, craftsmanship and poetry. His long collaboration with Venini gave birth to some of the most refined glass creations of the century.
Among them, this extraordinary floor lamp, designed and produced in 1942 by “La Fornace”, perfectly embodies Scarpa’s timeless vision — where modernity meets Venetian tradition with remarkable elegance.
