Curating the Young Een jong en dynamisch curatoren-collectief dat je iedere maand een nieuwe, opkomende kunstenaar voo Curating the Young is een project van AmuseeVous.

Wij zijn Curating the Young, een jong en dynamisch curatoren-collectief. We eisen ruimte op in de cultuursector voor aanstormend talent door beginnende kunstenaars een podium te geven. Hierbij staat het twaalfkoppige team in voor alle bijhorende zaken: het scouten van kunstenaars, de opbouw van de expo, de communicatie op social media, de publieksbemiddeling en de verkoop. Curating the Young is gehuisvest in het Openbaar Entrepot voor de Kunsten (OPEK) in Leuven.

💙 Here are 5 reasons why you should visit Meander this week:

1. First things first: get walking! Despite the colder weather, it’s important take in some fresh air! The exhibition urges you to take a little stroll around the renewed Vaartkom area of approximately 20 minutes, an ideal study or work break! 🥾

2. Get educated! Meander not only introduces you to upcoming international and Belgian artists, but also teaches you something about science, ecology, history, and even challenges you to think about the future. 🤓

3. Get creative! Besides the exhibition, we organise fun, lowkey workshops, for free! Last week, we’ve experimented with cyanotypes, but upcoming Thursday (17:00, at The Garage in OPEK) we’ll craft lanterns that we’ll immediately test during a guided tour afterwards. The perfect creative evening! 🏮

4. Get together! The exhibition is an opportunity to meet with friends or family. End the art walk with a hot chocolate or tasty spaghetti bolo at Café Entrepot. Or join us at the finissage upcoming Saturday (14:00), where you can enjoy coffee, tea, snacks, and listen to an interesting artist talk! ☕️

5. 5. Get curious! As Meander is a part of the Fringe Festival, you can combine your walk with other cultural activities and exhibitions, and get to now other Leuven-based organisations. You can find the full program at , have fun! 🌀

✨POV: making a moodboard for your upcoming lantern making workshop by CTY✨

After the success of our cyanotype workshop, we’re hosting a second one! This time, we’ll get crafty and make our own unique paper 𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓷𝓼 — a cozy get-together with some tea on the side.

Everybody is welcome 🧡

After the workshop we’ll head out for a guided tour through the exhibition, our lanterns lighting the way! 🧙‍♀️
