SPORTS FOR ALL : ACCESSIBLE INFRASTRUCTURE WITH AN ARTISTIC TOUCH

In our cities, sports facilities play a crucial role in allowing people of all ages to engage in regular physical activity. These spaces promote well-being, social connections, and inclusion. Providing accessible facilities for everyone is a priority, as exercise is a fundamental need that contributes to both physical and mental well-being.

Some initiatives go even further by integrating art into sports. This is the case with the works of Laurent Perbos, who designs sports modules that combine functionality and aesthetics. Through his creations, he transforms sports equipment into true artistic installations, making both sports and art accessible to all. These modules, both playful and visually appealing, encourage movement while stimulating curiosity and sensory enjoyment.

Bringing together sports and art in public spaces not only helps democratize access to physical activity but also enriches the experience of participants. These initiatives show that sports can be much more than just physical effort—they can be moments of sharing, discovery, and inspiration for all.

THE NOTORIETY OF LAURENT PERBOS

Six months ago, the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games captivated audiences with its boldness and artistic vision. Among the highlights of this exceptional event, ’s six spectacular sculptures stole the show. These unique pieces, reimagining the iconic Venus de Milo, depicted the figure in poses illustrating six different sports disciplines, including one dedicated to Paralympic sports. Positioned in front of the French National Assembly, the sculptures embodied the spirit of inclusion and the celebration of sports that define both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Thanks to this remarkable exhibition, Laurent Perbos’s sporty Venus de Milo sculptures gained unprecedented international media attention. Their modern and daring forms, blending classical art with contemporary sports culture, captivated audiences and the global press. Since this inaugural event, the sculptures have continued their journey to Shanghai, where they have also enjoyed tremendous success.

The pieces are available in three different sizes, allowing art enthusiasts to acquire these iconic works in a format that suits their spaces and preferences.
