Mijn nieuwste werk, ‘Liberty’, kreeg een tijdelijke thuis in het kapsalon van mijn lieve vriendin en topkapster Stephanie van Stephanie Bohez. ✨

Terwijl je jezelf laat verwennen door haar magische handen, kan je er ook genieten van de zachte en stralende energie die dit schilderij uitstraalt.

De mint- en pareltinten van het werk vormen een prachtige harmonie met de pastelkleuren in het interieur en de producten, waardoor alles mooi samenvloeit tot één rustgevend geheel.

Some mornings you don’t create from inspiration.

You create from necessity.

This morning, I crashed.

I couldn’t find space to breathe, let alone create.
So I gave myself five minutes outside. Five minutes to feel the air, to listen, to soften.

Then I walked towards my painting.

I put on music that matched exactly what I was feeling and I let it move through me.

This is what emerged.

Pearl white.
Silver.
Mint green.

Layers of emotion becoming something visible.
Something that can be felt.

I want to make vulnerability acceptable.

We don’t always have to be strong.
We don’t always have to keep going.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is stop and feel what is asking to be felt.

Because every emotion we allow creates a little more space inside our bodies.
A little more softness.
A little more freedom.

Let creativity be your healing.
