**Call for Artists: MODERN MIX Art Gallery Opening Exhibition**
MODERN MIX Art Gallery is thrilled to announce its opening exhibition and invites artists of all mediums to submit their work for consideration. Located in the heart of Downtown Abbotsford, MODERN MIX is a dynamic and contemporary art space dedicated to showcasing the intersection of diverse artistic expressions.
**Theme: "Connection"**
In celebration of our inaugural exhibition, we encourage artists to explore the transient nature of connections, be they personal, cultural, or environmental. We are seeking artworks that embody the spirit of unity and diversity across various perspectives, styles, and techniques. Whether through painting, sculpture, photography, or mixed media, we invite you to contribute to a collective narrative that reflects the richness of the artistic landscape.
**Submission Guidelines:**
- **Eligibility:** Open to artists of all levels and backgrounds.
- **Medium:** 2d visual arts mediums are welcome, including but not limited to painting, photography, digital art, and mixed media.
- **Submission Deadline:** Dec 1st, 2023
- **Notification of Acceptance:** Dec 5th, 2023
- **Exhibition Dates:** Dec 14th (opening) - Jan 7th, 2024
**How to Submit:**
1. Send a maximum of 3 high-resolution images of your artwork to [email protected].
To accommodate our hanging system, all works must be properly finished for hanging using wire and D-rings attached to the frame preferably 1/3rd of the way from the top of the frame. Painted canvases are not required to be framed.
2. Include a brief artist statement (max 200 words) and a bio (max 150 words).
3. Subject line: "MODERN MIX Art Gallery Submission - Your Name"
4. Entry Fee: WAIVED
