We’re very excited to once again host Selxwí:chel Arts & Culture Days at Trethewey House Interpretive Site!
This year's festival features workshops, art, storytelling, and hands-on learning experiences throughout June. You won’t want to miss it!
Beginning June 5, the Indigenous art collective Cedar Sage & Sweetgrass will be showcasing their beautiful artwork in Trethewey House. You can view the exhibit throughout the month of June, Monday to Friday from 1 to 5.
Interested in learning how to make fluffy, golden bannock? Join expert Lorraine Peters on June 6 at 10 AM for a special bannock-making demonstration! Registration is required.
On June 7th, join us for Selxwí:chel Arts & Culture Day, our annual skills transmission event in partnership with the newly formed Selxwi:chel Arts and Culture Event Society. This special day celebrates talented Indigenous artisans, performers, and storytellers, including Dr. Naxaxalhts'i Sonny McHalsie and UFV Elder-In-Residence Eddie Gardner.
