We're saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton at age 80. While the world will remember her incredible music career, we'll also remember her as a passionate advocate for literacy who helped millions of children discover the joy of reading through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

One of Dolly’s most memorable quotes was: “If I'm remembered 100 years from now, I hope it will be not for looks but for books.”

That legacy will live on in every child who opened a book because of her.
