MINI MARTY THE MINER ON THE MOVE!

If you’ve been around the #2 Mine Tour & Museum Gift Shop lately, you already know… Mini Marty the Miner has developed a serious case of wanderlust.

He’s been spotted doing what he does best, slipping into backpacks before school trips & weekend getaways, hiding out in lunch boxes like a well-packed surprise, & always making sure he’s never far from a Mini Marty the Miner Chocolate Bar (made right here in NL by the Newfoundland Chocolate Company yum!)

One minute he’s on the shelf in the Gift Shop, the next he’s heading out the door ready for another adventure.

Mini Marty believes every backpack is a travel opportunity, every lunch box is a pit stop for stories, and every chocolate bar is fuel for the journey. If you’ve picked up a Mini Marty during your visit, we want to see where he’s ended up!

Mini Marty the Miner has been riding around Bell Island again, and he swears he gets a smell of coal smoke drifting from a chimney in West Mines. (It's cold enough he says)

Now, before anyone asks, Mini Marty is not recommending you heat your house with coal... but he is saying that scent carries a thousand stories. It’s the smell of miners coming home after a hard day's work, families gathered around warm kitchens, kettles boiling, bread baking, and neighbors dropping in for a yarn.

Modern heating may be easier, but coal smoke had a way of saying, “The family is home, supper is on, and we made it through another day.”

Mini Marty figures some memories don't live in photographs or museums. Sometimes they drift through the air on the evening breeze and settle right in your heart.

Well, nobody expected this at snack time.Mini Marty the Miner has officially made a surprise appearance right in the popcorn bowl & honestly, he looks right at home.

He says it’s “perfect underground-adjacent terrain” with excellent crunch potential & top-tier snack mining conditions.

One thing about Mini Marty, wherever there’s an adventure or a snack, he’ll find a way to pop up.

From tunnels to trails to theatre snacks, he’s always up for anything the day brings.

Mini Marty’s BASE CAMP!

Mini Marty the Miner has officially found his favourite place & he’s calling it… Base Camp!

Why? Because it’s just the right size for a Mini Marty the Miner! Not too big, not too small, just perfect for a mascot always on the move from underground tunnels to museum halls to trail adventures.

At Base Camp Mini Marty says he’s found a cozy spot to rest after big adventures. Space to plan his next underground discoveries, a very important stash of miner-approved Mini Marty chocolate bars
