Jim Brown Painting's

Jim Brown Painting's Canvas acrylic paintings. Anywhere from wildlife, portraits, structural and commissions are welcomed. Jim's family moved from Calgary to Didsbury.

At young age Jim had a strong interest in drawing animals trees, by the age of nine portraits of Elvis and other celebrities. The rural setting was a place of inspiration to further find his artistic place. While raising a family of two daughters Jim decided to try painting with acrylics, this medium seemed to be a natural progression to expand his creative expression. Photography became the next

logical source for referencing and creative release. The two mediums shared a lot of common ground and blended together well figuring out the structure of his paintings. Throughout the years Jim has been humbled by awards given to him and the groups of supporters that help him to learn and explore more creatively.
