Nearly 90 years ago, the Second World War began. During this conflict, members of Canada’s Army, Navy and Air Force served alongside the Allies against the Axis powers. Among these members were brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters.
At LAC, we’re continuing our work to make the military personnel files from the Second World War accessible to Canadians. To learn more or search the records currently available in our database, visit our website:

If a record that you’re looking for isn’t in the database, you can request it by submitting an ATIP request for military personnel files. For more information, visit our website: https://www.canada.ca/en/library-archives/services/public/access-information-privacy/make-atip-request.html
