As I went to grab my jacket today — just one day left until we close — I looked over and saw this chalkboard we had out front of the gallery last summer. We had asked our visitors to share their thoughts on what Art Is.

Right under the arrow is my granddaughter’s drawing — “June’s Cat.” Seeing it again reminded me that, to me, Art Is authentic expression. Children are true artists, unshaped by the judgment of others.

May we all keep discovering what our own Art Is.

This is it — our last call from Invermere.
As we head into our final weekend, we’re feeling it all: pride, nostalgia, excitement, and above all, deep gratitude for this amazing community.

Art on 9th has been more than a gallery — it’s been a celebration of creativity, connection, and community. Whether you discovered a favourite artist, found the perfect piece, or just stopped in to soak up the art, you’ve been part of something special.

Our doors stay open until October 31, but this is our last weekend. If a piece has been calling your name, now’s the time.

We’re not saying goodbye — just thank you. ❤️

Art on 9th will be closing its Invermere doors on October 31st. It’s been such a joy sharing beautiful art with this community. There are still so many wonderful pieces waiting for the right art lover to discover them!
