This year, the Grow Together Festival is excited to welcome Wendy de Gomez as our Feature Speaker!

Coming all the way from Waterloo, Wendy is a PhD student in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at the University of Waterloo.

Presenting A Holistic Vision of Artificial Intelligence, Wendy offers an opportunity to learn more about the environmental impacts of AI, and discuss what sustainable AI may look like. Guests will also be invited to ask their questions during an open Q & A session, or to visit Wendy at her booth throughout the day.

So come on out next Saturday June 6th from 11 AM to 4 PM for the 3rd Annual Grow Together Festival where we can learn together, develop our skills together, and Grow Together towards a greener, and more sustainable future!

We are excited to share our promotional video, produced by Incapture, which was featured at the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce Agilis Networks Business Excellence Awards held recently at the Caruso Club - Società Caruso.

The video highlights the rich history, unique exhibits, and community spirit that makes our museum such a special destination.

As the season gets underway, we are pleased to announce that the museum is now OPEN to visitors Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We had an amazing evening at the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce Agilis Networks Business Excellence Awards held last night at the Caruso Club - Società Caruso!

We were incredibly honoured to be named a finalist for the Community Impact Award. While we didn’t take home the award this year, being recognized alongside so many outstanding organizations in our community was truly meaningful. We are especially grateful to Jeannie Kilgour for nominating the museum and believing in the work we do.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to our incredible staff, volunteers, board members, supporters, and everyone who attended the event to cheer us on. Your passion, encouragement, and dedication are what makes our museum such a special place in our community.

Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners who continue to make Greater Sudbury such a vibrant, innovative, and caring community. We are proud to stand alongside so many inspiring local businesses and organizations.

WOW! What an incredible day at the 9th Annual Big Truck Showcase this past Saturday! 🚛🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, volunteered, and sponsored the event to help make this our biggest and best Big Truck Showcase yet. Events like these truly take a community, and we are so grateful for the amazing support that allows us to continue offering these FREE family fun events at the museum.

Unfortunately, someone decided to kick in the door at the Heritage Centre last night. It’s very disappointing to see this kind of vandalism continue to happen in our community.

The damage will require costly repairs, which is unfortunate for the museum and the community as a whole.

If anyone witnessed the incident or has any information, please contact the museum at 705-858-5050.

THANK YOU KAL TIRE!

With the restoration of Capreol's first police vehicle nearing completion, the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre would like to thank Kal Tire for keeping the project rolling.

Through its Tires For Good Program, the museum's 1957 Fargo Panel Truck was outfitted with a new set of rubber.
