Located at 1721 Cowichan Bay Rd, in the Ocean EcoVentures office. Salish Sea Gallery proudly displays unique hand-crafted items made by artists living on and around Vancouver Island. You will find original paintings by island artists Bernadette McCormack, Brian Scott, and Jim Jenkins. We also have a wonderful selection of limited edition framed prints by local artist Sue Coleman. We’re so excited to welcome Kennison Arts to the gallery!

Handcrafted in Coombs, their beautiful coastal creations blend recycled glass, metal, driftwood, stones, and treasures gathered from the seashore into one-of-a-kind art pieces inspired by the West Coast.

From vibrant ocean colours to soft natural textures, every piece has its own story and brings a little bit of the coast indoors. 🌿🐚✨

Very delayed… but we’re back!

The Salish Sea Gallery is officially open for the 2026 season 🌊

Current hours:
10 AM – 3 PM, 7 days a week
(Extended hours to 5 PM starting in June)

We’re excited to welcome several new artists into the gallery this year—lots of fresh pieces to explore alongside your favourites.

This special display celebrates one of Cowichan Bay’s most iconic locals — the Sealion! 🦭
Featuring original works by talented local artists, you’ll find paintings, carvings, ornaments, and handcrafted treasures that capture the magic of our coastal wildlife.

Whether you’re a visitor discovering Cowichan Bay for the first time or a local who loves the ocean, this collection is a beautiful way to bring a piece of the bay home. 💙

The sea lions have arrived! There’s even talk of a possible Sea Lion Festival this year. 🦭✨

I’d love to celebrate their return with a special display of all things sea lions in the gallery. If you have any sea lion-inspired works—whether new pieces or ones you already have—I’d be thrilled to include them.

If you’d like to take part, please have your pieces to me by mid-September so we can get the display ready.
