I started because I wanted my children to see there are good people out there and that we CAN do something about the things we care about.

Last night, when we went to the beach, we came upon a place that was covered in styrofoam. There were little pieces everywhere, so I started picking some of it up.

I decided I would just let him enjoy the night and keep playing. Let him be innocent and free from worry. But then he noticed what I was doing and came to help.

This is one of those moments where I feel like I'm in the right place doing what I need to be doing.

It's time for our monthly data deep dive! These totals only represent what has been picked up THIS YEAR! Our numbers also represent the work of many individuals coming together to make a positive change 🙌 ❤️

2025 was the year of the tire and we removed over 1000 of them. 2026 is the year of the lobster band and we are up over 350,000! This is an incredible number and has brought attention to a big problem.

What item should we focus on next year?!

When I go to an area that's so dirty, there's no way that we could clean it up by ourselves, I start to treasure hunt! I'm always on the lookout for brightly colored buoys or an interesting toy that's washed ashore.

We always make sure to take a few bags of pure garbage with us, too! Polystyrene and plastics are on the top of our priority list because they break down pretty quickly.

Sometimes, there are items washed ashore that are too big to take home. Like this abandoned boat that is sitting up on the rocks... We have reported it to but haven't heard anything back yet. Fingers crossed we hear back soon, because this boat is breaking apart!

There's a reason we keep coming back to Baccaro Point and there's lots of reasons you should join us!

We are looking for ATVs, side by sides, trucks, trailers and lot's of helpers. Meet us at the lighthouse this weekend 💡 🦞

We found ourselves a boat today! We figured this might be a good one to do our ghost gear retrievals with.

Captain Eddie just needs a crew! Sign up below!

The shores of Annapolis County lost over 1200 pounds of shoreline debris to the yesterday!

The winter wash in is starting to slow down so we can go a little bit further and clean a little deeper over the next few months! The team in the Bay of Fundy have their work cut out for them but they always seem to meet the challenge with a smile. 😀

A big thank you to the many volunteers who helped with the clean up and waste diversion. Another HUGE thank you to the County of Annapolis for providing a dumpster and the landowner for allowing us to access the shoreline through their property.

Also, big shoutout to Team Leader Elspeth for taking over the role of ATV driver for the day! 🛻 Join us next weekend at Baccaro for . 🦞

It's day two of the Digby Home and Living Show!

We are set up with .loyal and excited to meet more of the local community. Yesterday we sold some items that are made from the debris we're picking up off the shorelines of Nova Scotia, we recruited a few more volunteers that might come out to a clean up or two this year and we met a local fisher who's looking for a responsible way to get rid of a lot nice of rope! (OH GOODY!) 👋

We are going to be there from 10 am to 3 pm today at the Digby Arena. See you soon!
