A lot of this work really changes when you’re standing in front of it - the surface, layering and light don’t quite translate the same way online.

Take some time to see the work in person. Exhibited through June 7.

Gallery hours are 11–4,and 9–12 on Fridays, and closed weekends. If you’d like to visit outside those hours, call ahead and we’ll do our best to make it work.

The Seed Paintings
New work by Jim Macgregor
Opening May 22 & 23

In this body of work, Macgregor reaches a pivotal point in his practice, shaped by decades of looking inward and learning to trust his process. Moving away from control, the paintings are less constructed and more allowed—closing the gap between thought and hand. The “seeds” emerge from this place: forms shaped by life’s influence, carried and transformed over time, now recognized and translated into a visual language—at times even legible.

Openings:
Fri, May 22, 7–9 pm — artist present, live music by Kim Gates, Bay 1 bar + treats
Sat, May 23, 2–4 pm — artist present, quieter reception
