Join Rachael of Ember Aromas Candle Co. for a hands-on introduction to candle making. Learn the basics of wick setting, scent blending, safe melting and pouring techniques, and finishing touches. Children will explore colours from nature while designing, sewing and dyeing their own tote bag! This hands-on workshop encourages creativity, experimentation and learning through art and natural materials 🌸 🍃

About the Instructor

Rocio Guato is a textile artist and founder of Porã. Her work focuses on natural fibers, botanical colour and slow textile processes. Through natural dyeing, eco printing and handmade clothing, she explores the connection between nature, craftsmanship and sustainable design. She has experience leading community based creative workshops and enjoys making textile arts accessible to beginners of all ages.

This Documentary Photography Exhibition is for everyone who cares about the future of our forests in Western Canada! 🌳 🌲 🪵

These images honouring the Reforestation community are beautifully printed on wood for you to experience. Can you find the tree planter in each immense photograph?

"For seventeen seasons, I worked as both a tree planter and a foreman. Tree planting became more than a job—it became one of my greatest teachers. It taught me resilience, discipline, humility, and the value of shared hardship. It also made possible many of the dreams that followed, including a career as a professional catskiing photographer at Keefer Lake Lodge. With Braving the Cut Blocks, I hope to create a lasting visual record of this community while giving planters something many of us never had: photographs that reflect not only what we did, but who we became while doing it." -Jeremie "Jalapeno" Drainville
