STARTING SOON! Limited spaces remaining!

Super Studio Creators is the ultimate introduction to all things printmaking! Alongside artist Amber Lee Williams, young artists will have the chance to experiment with different printmaking techniques such as jelly plate monoprinting, tetrapak printing, collagraphs, and even making your own mini linocut stamps! Go beyond just drawing and painting and experience a whole new world of artmaking!
Amber shows us an example of Gelli Plate monoprinting using acrylic paints as our image!

This 4-week session starts June 2 and runs on Tuesdays from 4:30-5:00PM. Open to children ages 7-10.

Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School Student Art Exhibition - on display until May 23, 2026! 🖼️

The students of Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School are proud to present a diverse collection of artwork created throughout the school year, showcasing the creativity, curiosity, and unique perspectives of our Grade 9, 10, 11, and 12 artists. This exhibition represents more than individual talent—it reflects a vibrant community of young creators exploring a wide range of ideas, themes, and techniques.

Our artists have worked across multiple mediums, including pastel, ink, acrylic, watercolor, sculpture, and upcycled materials. Each piece reflects a personal journey of experimentation, skill development, and self-expression. Some works capture delicate emotions, while others celebrate colour, form, and the playful imagination that art encourages.

Together, these works invite viewers to consider different perspectives, explore new ways of seeing, and connect with the stories, emotions, and ideas embedded in each
piece. The students’ dedication to their craft demonstrates how art can bridge personal experience and shared understanding, creating meaningful connections that extend beyond the classroom.

We hope this collection inspires others as much as the process of creating it has inspired our students, celebrating the imagination, resilience, and vibrant voices of the young artists at Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School.

✂️📚 THIS SATURDAY: FREE Collage Workshop + Artist Talk 📚✂️

Following a casual artist talk and discussion around her exhibition When Men Were Men and Women Were Rugs in our main gallery space, artist Rachelle Wunderink will lead participants in a workshop exploring creative methods of collage making.

In her own work, Wunderink elevates the practice of collaging by intricately and intentionally weaving images of our visual culture together, creating a literal blend of domesticity, fantasy, abstraction, and identity in everyday objects. All materials are included- this free talk and workshop is not to be missed!

Registration is required with only a few spots remaining! Register via ActiveNet (link in bio for classes and workshops) or give GPAG a call at 905-945-3246.

Rachelle Wunderink collage artworks:
1. Here's Proof of our Superiority no. 2 (2023)
2. Broken Clockwork no. 2 (2024)
3. A Bowlful no. 1 (2024)

Grimsby students from Saint Joseph Catholic Elementary School, Central French Immersion Public School, and Trail Ridge Montessori have been hard at work this week creating monster puppets with Yukon-based artist Nicole Bauberger! 👹🧟👾 Come see the students' wild creations at our community parade THIS FRIDAY, MAY 8 starting at the Grimsby Public Art Gallery at 1:00PM!!

🗺️ Our Monster Parade will travel in a loop onto Ontario St, Main St W, Elizabeth St, and Carnegie Ln. We'll be making our presence known with music, noisemakers, and more- you may hear us before you see us!

HAVE YOU HEARD THE BUZZ!? 🐛🐝🐞🦗🪲
This Monday, May 11 from 4-6pm, GPAG Q***r Art Collective will be joined by the fabulous Hamilton-based artist Birdie Gerhl () for our second FREE workshop! You cAN'T miss this one... 🐜

Spring has sprung, so let’s make some bugs together in celebration of all the critters that have returned to our gardens. Participants will be provided with fabric and sewing materials, and guided through the process of making their own soft sculptural insect. No prior sewing experience required, though participants are invited to pick their favourite gay bug prior to the workshop.
🧵
Birdie Gerhl is a Hamilton-based multidisciplinary artist and facilitator. Her artistic practice straddles textiles, video, drawing, poetry, and zines, often combining them in installations and performances. Gerhl’s work invites touch and play, beckoning us to locate q***rness and disability not in our bodies, but in our relationships and lineages.
