We have had some bookish visitors to Carrefour Atlantic over the past few weeks!

Carol Ann Cole (and her sister!) brought us the two newest editions of her Paradise series, in addition to her non fiction title 'Learning to Slow Dance: With Footprints of Kindness'!

Local illustrator James Vincent Walsh brought us copies of his book 'My Oddy Body', written by polio survivor Sally Mackay, all about children embracing their unique bodies!

And finally, Dr. Chris Harvey Clark dropped by to sign his books about sharks and local marine life!

Visit us in Historic Properties on the Halifax waterfront to admire and acquire all of these great titles!

Local author Bruce Bishop brought us some signed copies of his newest book: 'Stephanie Makes a Scene'!

'Sixty-seven year old Stephanie Whittaker has spent 40 years waiting for her theatrical breakthrough. She travels home to Nova Scotia to mount her magnum opus – a reimagining of Anne of Green Gables – only to have the theatre’s shady administrator cancel the show and attempt to sell an Americanized rip-off to a producer in Maine.

Refusing to be erased, Stephanie teams up with a handsome local chef and a spunky cast of volunteers to stage her play in a deconsecrated church, exposing a money-laundering ring and proving that a woman’s true crowning achievements can happen in her third act.'
