Gerald Rose is an artist working in acrylics and pastels to create stunning nature paintings and portraits. After having spent decades as a graphic artist/photoshop artist in the graphic design and advertising industries, Rose found himself retired. With the kids grown and gone, he was once again gifted with the opportunity to paint. That was over ten years ago and He has never looked back.

Jeffrey Van Leeuwen's practice began during a period of profound grief after losing his mother to mesothelioma. For years afterwards he struggled with anger, sadness, and emotional disconnection. Making art became a way to navigate that loss and to rebuild a sense of self. Van Leeuwen works with discarded and overlooked materials; remnants of things once valued.

This piece by Barbara Ann Desnoyers - Gardiner is part of her red umbrella series. Her three kids loved playing in the rain and that little yellow rain coat saw a lot of action over the years. Jumping.dancing, singing in the puddles. Begging to go outside at the first glimpse of dark clouds. It was her inspiration for this fun painting titled 'Splish Splash.'

Julie Donec seeks out patterns and rhythms that make up the essence of the subjects she wishes to portray. “The Minotaur” is a lithograph print, depicting the famous Greek myth of the monstrous creature that had a man’s body and a bull’s head, imprisoned in the Labyrinth deep beneath King Minos’s palace.

Lisa Tarrison Schramp is an artist and librarian. As a librarian, she has always been drawn to print media. Her love of the printed word can often be found in my pieces, as is her love of vintage fashion. The ritual of ripping paper and the mindfulness of composition is not only creative, it is therapeutic.

Louise Finn's work looks at Hamilton’s industrial district as a place of contrasts — built from steel and concrete, yet softened by light, colour, and moments of stillness. These structures are often seen only as markers of labour and industry, but through the camera they take on another role: geometric forms, repeating patterns, and unexpected spaces for reflection.

Jacquie Herron's deepest joy is floral and landscape painting plein air in watercolour. Herron loves to paint spontaneously, intuitively, and quickly responding to feelings in the moment. Herron paints boldly, with little hesitation, and finds the results fresher and more spontaneous than when she paints in her studio.
