For reasons unclear, known only to the platform, the Farm Museum page has been flooded with ads, irrelevant shorts, and AI slop. Regretfully, I shall close this page soon, with a nod to those wonderful farmers and tradesmen who helped Mary Evelyn Porter and I assemble the original images. (I cannot even find them.) This page has served its purpose, and I bid all of you who sent complimentary words adieu, and, hey, might see you at the Ex!! Chad Evans Wyatt (below: along the Leonard Road)

To the followers of the Farm Museum Page: with a heavy heart, I must announce that my partner, and manager of this Page, Mary Evelyn Porter, has died. As a child in Paradise, in the Annapolis Valley, she would run with breath-taking swiftness from her family’s property embankment on the Annapolis River to the high hills behind their farm. From this humble beginning, she went on to work undercover in Argentina for Amnesty International and the US State Department, to a long teaching career in San Diego. She returned repeatedly to her home in Paradise over the years, even while working extensively in human rights in Europe. Her interest in the Farm Museum flourished a decade ago; she made numerous donations to the Museum, even stored items in her barns. She joined the Museum’s Board of Directors in 2019. Her roots and origins in the Annapolis Valley were deep. Her ashes will be deposited in Paradise. Chad Evans Wyatt
