🎆 WEEK AT THE MUSEUM 2026 🎆

These kids had a blast this week at the museum exploring the history of Magrath!! 📚📖

Tuesday they learned all about ranching and branding. 🐮Wednesday they dove into everything irrigation! 🚿Thursday, from cow to cone - they learned about dairy farming and how ice cream is made. 😋🍦 Friday, from wheat to treat - grain milling and making bread! 🍞

In town for a class reunion this weekend??

Stop by the museum to see our yearbook display and collection ranging almost 100 years from the Magrath High school!

Yearbooks range from 1930 - 2025. We also have a collection of many school scrap books from 1990 - 2014. Come find yourself in some fun pictures and relive those memories!

Ages 12 & under will also have their own rock hunt this year again!
It costs $5 to participate. No book needed. Grandparents are helpful ;)

Come to the museum to get a wrist band before Thursday July 23rd @ 3pm to participate! First clue drops July 23rd @ 3pm AT THE MUSUEM.

MUSEUM MADNESS ROCK HUNT 2026

The object of the game is to find the Museum Madne$$ rock hidden somewhere in Magrath. The prize for the winner is a 50/50. The more participants, the bigger the pot!
The rock WILL NOT BE in water, buried in the ground, OR on personal property.
Your name NEEDS to be recorded to win the prize. Come visit us in the museum to sign up!

$20 will get you the book that will help with the clues to find the rock. Books available only at the museum.

There will be a separate rock hunt for ages 12 and under. It costs $5 to participate. No book needed. Grandparents are helpful :)
Prize is also 50/50!

The first clue will be dropped Thursday July 23 at 3pm and continues as follows:
Thursday July 23 6pm & 9pm
Friday July 24 9am, Noon, 3pm, 6pm
Saturday July 25 9am if necessary
The first person to find the rock wins the money!!

When you find the rock, you must stay in the exact spot where you found it and contact one of the organizers by cell phone:

Magrath History and Museum Association

Summer Job Opportunity (8 weeks starting July 2, 2026)

The Magrath History and Museum Association is looking to fill the following position:

Office and support person in the Museum

Responsibilities:
Provide access to the museum for the public.
Provide information to public of local events and activities
Provide cleaning, housekeeping and some yard duties
Accession artifacts onto the on-line data base
Update social media sites and Web pages
Other duties as directed by the Museum Board
Age between 15 - 30 at the start of employment

Works under direction of Magrath History and Museum Association Executive and Board.

Hours: 35 hours per week
Start date: Tuesday July 2, 2025 (negotiable)
End date: Friday Aug 29, 2025 (negotiable)
Pay rate: $16.00 per hour
