Our site features a variety of buildings representing the on-going growth of our community. See re-created businesses, family homes and mills. Enjoy a personal tour and then stroll the Museum. Bring a picnic or pick up food at one of our many local establishments and find a quiet spot to unwind. Customized tours are available for families with young children except on special event days.

The Ultimutts is coming to Markham Museum for AppleFest! ✨🍎

The Ultimutts are a group of internationally recognized cats, dogs, and trainers that showcase the amazing talents of animals who perform in blockbuster movies and TV shows! From acting skits to the stunt dog skateboarding course, jumping rope, handstands, driving mini cars, tightrope walking and backflips, this show is one that puts the spotlight on our four-legged friends that show up on the big screen.

Markham Museum would like to recognize the outstanding contributions Chantel has made over the past summer season. As a member of the Curatorial team, Chantel supported a wide range of Museum initiatives and projects. We are also grateful to the Fleming College’s Museum Management and Curatorship program for creating this opportunity to develop young Museum professionals.

"As part of my internship from Fleming College’s Museum Management and Curatorship program, I have come to learn many things during my time here at Markham Museum. This experience has allowed me to get a finer understanding of the actual in-and-outs of everyday museum operations.

The curatorial department has kept me busy with projects and opportunities to dip my fingers into the other parts of the museum. Throughout my time here, I have learned how museums collaborate with and benefit their community.

One of the highlights of the internship is processing the upcoming loan with the Elman W. Campbell Museum in Newmarket! I’ve been a busy bee balancing the paperwork, treatment, and all other tasks happening in the department before driving the artifacts over.

I am extremely thankful for Fleming College staff for making my internship possible, and to Markham Museum staff making my experience as fulfilling and engaging as it has been. Another big thank you goes to the curatorial department for giving me the opportunity and support I need to be able to build my career for the future. The stage is set and the excitement is building at AppleFest’s Music Stage, presented by School of Rock Markham!

Meet our captivating headliner, STEPH!

STEPH is an emerging artist/singer/songwriter fronting her own band based out of the
GTA. As an active member of the local music community, STEPH participates and
performs at music festivals, events, and venues around the GTA. With captivating
original melodies, a unique vocal tone delivery in every song, and memorable
performances of both original music and covers, STEPH leaves fans wanting more every
time. STEPH is currently working on exciting new projects to release in the near future,
her most recent release being her latest single “Only One”, and strives to continue to
perform, and create connections with the world through the universal language of music.
