Central Manitoulin Historical Society

Central Manitoulin Historical Society The historical background of Central Manitoulin is displayed very vividly throughout the many buildings and showcases that we have.

The Central Manitoulin Historical Society offers an insight to a pioneers' life. With displays of a log cabin, two different barns that display the time and how they were quite advanced for what they had, and a blacksmith shop that you would have seen during that time. These can be explored through out guided tours. In the welcome centre you can look at our showcases that have a variation of Manitoulin history displayed in them and learn about the Island and it's culture and history.
