Snack Witch Joni a présenté l'histoire du 𝘣𝘶𝘣𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢 depuis son apparition dans les années 1980. Cette boisson à la fois ludique et réconfortante a connu une présence exponentielle dans la culture populaire, se transformant au fil des lieux et des contextes.

Snack Witch Joni presented a history of bubble tea from its appearance in the 1980s. This fun and comforting drink has had an explosive presence in pop culture, shapeshifting from place to place.

En plein tumulte lié au décès de son père, l'artiste abandonne sa voiture dans un dense embouteillage déclenché par un incendie sur l’autoroute. Elle rencontre une femme âgée qu'elle suit et filme sous la pluie dans le centre-ville de Los Angeles.

𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 est une chronique autofictionnelle où la cinéaste traverse des récits concentriques autour de personnes, de lieux et de choses qu’elle érige en substituts de son propre devenir.

In the midst of grappling with her father’s death, the artist abandons her car when a fire on the freeway causes a city-wide traffic jam. She encounters an elderly woman whom she proceeds to follow and film through downtown Los Angeles in the rain.

𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 is an autofictional chronicle wherein the filmmaker moves through concentric narratives about the people, places, and things which serve as surrogates of her own becoming.
