In October 1948 in East Garafraxa Township, the house of Robert and Sarah Gillespie was moved from their home at Lot 23 on the 8th Line, next door to Lot 22. Arn Wakeling out of London, ON and his crew were hired to facilitate the move.

Visit the MoD this fall to create your own personal earrings using polymer clay!

📅Date: Thursday, October 22nd

🕧Time: 6:30pm to 8:00pm

🎟️Price: $35+ HST per participant

In this workshop you will craft two pairs of unique fall earrings. Select from the range of tools, shapes, colours, and metal hardware to design your own seasonal pieces.

We will have The Knitting Basket and Spirit Walk Farm as special guests!

Have you ever wondered about the history of your house? Join the MoD’s Archivist, Laura Camilleri, for this workshop on how to research the history of your house. In this workshop, Laura provides useful tips for researching the history of homes, both urban and rural, in Dufferin County. She will show how to effectively search online resources, newspaper archives, and other databases and archival collections. Participants will have the opportunity to research their own homes, if they live in Dufferin County, during the workshop (bring the legal description for the property / house).

This is a sensory-friendly version of our Toy Takeover Scavenger Hunt event! Guests are invited to dress up in costume and explore the Museum of Dufferin. Costumed staff will be running activity stations throughout the museum where guests can win prizes by completing challenges and games.

‼️Tickets for this hour are limited and will be checked at the door. Please register in advance to guarantee your spot! ‼️

What to expect during our Sensory-Friendly Hour:
-Music at a low volume
-No flashing lights or smoke machine
-No surprises, jump scares, etc.
-Lower guest numbers (a maximum of 50 tickets are available)
-Quiet area provided away from the main event
-All ages welcome
