It has been quite a while since my last post. Lots going on with 'life' with very little time for other stuff. However, I finally managed some house repairs and had the chance to revamp my entire display. Hard to believe that not a single display case or fossil was in this room on July 24! I did reduce the number of fossils on display, and it is true....less is more! Look for upcoming posts as I've decided to let some of my collection go too. Just have too many. Some incredible specimens on their way, hopefully to you!

This is an amazing example of a Thysanopeltis speciosa austromaura trilobite from the El Otfal Formation, Jebel Issoumour, Morocco. It measures just over 50mm in length and was alive and well during the Lower Devonian Period, approx. 400 million years ago. The contrast with the surrounding matrix makes it seem like it is actually crawling over the rocky surface. 😯

These wonderful trilobites (7 in total) have recently been posted on my website. Reference numbers are TR001 to TR007. They have also been priced to sell and would make excellent Christmas gifts for the budding Paleontologists out there! www.trilobitesplus.com Hurry before you miss out!

Just completed four 5" x 7" shadow boxes complete with various fossil specimens. These will be going to 4 families, mostly in my area, for surprise Christmas gifts! Each will be accompanied by a legend, data sheet, magnifying glass, and some Museum putty (in case one or more specimens become dislodged). A special thank you to Jon () for supplying the majority of the fossils at a fantastic price. Some children (and their parents too) will be pleasantly surprised this Holiday season. 😃

This Olenellus gilberti, surrounded by dendrites, is simply captivating! I have a number of these in my collection but this is only the second one to show such remarkable detail and contrasting colours. Collected from the Combined Metals Member, Pioche Formation, Nevada, USA, this arthropod is from the Cambrian Period, approx. 510 million years ago. Like a work of art, this trilobite is to be treasured! ❤

This is an amazing example of the trilobite Crotalocephalus africanus from the Bou Tchrafine Formation, Jorf, Morocco. This specimen is 45mm x 24mm in size and was alive and well during the Lower Devonian Period, approx. 397 to 391 million years ago. The various minerals present give this trilobite a multitude of different colours and shades, making it an extremely unique addition to my collection!

This 29mm long Ceraurus pleurexanthemus is a fantastic example of this Upper Ordovician trilobite. Although there is a small area of damage on the cephalon, it still is a stunning specimen, some 460 million years in the making. Collected and prepared in October of this year by Stormbed Paleontological, I especially like the way it is presented on the slab, outlined to make it pop. Great job guys! 👍

This is a unique Acernaspis orestes cluster collected from the Jupiter Formation, Anticosti Island, Quebec, Canada, in 2016. Not only are there 3 specimens on the front side but 1 small one on the back. These creatures were prolific during the Silurian Period, approx. 435 million years ago. Anticosti Island is now closed to amateur collectors so I'm very pleased to add this to my collection! 😊
