Paradigm[e] Presents: ELSIE LEBEDEV

Elsie Lebedev is a 4th year Biology and Arts student at the University of Ottawa.

Lebedev will exhibit a series of works in the forthcoming show ‘Revive’ at Paradigm[e] Gallery.

"My work is predominantly a formal exploration of materiality and the visual dialogs created through the interaction of positive and negative space. With a strong link to drawing, I am interested in the capacity of sculpture to communicate gesture and movement while also addressing the process of construction itself. I see these forms as drawings in space."

PARADIGM[E] PRESENTS: Palwasha Qazi

Palwasha Qazi is a 4th year BFA student at the University of Ottawa. Qazi will exhibit a series of works at the forthcoming show ‘Revive’ at Paradigm[e] Gallery.

“My work is usually abstract and I work with acrylic paints. I use vibrant colours and I am interested in expressing colour, form, and texture across the canvas. I mostly begin painting with random brush strokes of colour, then work intuitively responding to the direction the painting suggests.

Sarah Jasmine Hodgson is a 3rd year BFA student at the University of Ottawa.

Hodgson’s work “Untitled” will exhibit in the forthcoming show ‘Revive’ at Paradigm[e] Gallery.

“This work explores the idea of space and its relationship between the positive and negative. It explores how manipulation of an image can cause disorder or unity.”

Farnaz Delgosha is a 4th year BA student at the University of Ottawa.

Delgosha’s work “Childhood Memories” will exhibit in the forthcoming show ‘Revive’ at Paradigm[e] Gallery. The work is a symbolic still-life about the nostalgia of being a child.

“As a child, the world seems a lot bigger because it is new to us with many things to discover. I want to reflect this feeling into my work while having every object also tell a story.”
