What a great summer we had at the museum! Renovations were completed in June, programming was held and Aurora made many more updates to our displays over the summer months. We were thrilled this August to have Paul Twietmeyer come to do a mural on the shed door - we think it’s fantastic!

Including our Grand Re-opening, school tours and general admissions, we hosted over *520* visitors this year! And the fun is not done - we have a couple of tours booked this fall and we’re looking to host one more program for kids. Stay tuned for details.

We had a great turnout (60!) and tons of fun yesterday with the ArcheoCaravan at the museum. Participants were able to talk to archeologists, view items, make clay pots, piece together clay dishes and try to bring down the bison with darts. Thanks to everyone who came out. Today, some of those participants toured the Galloway Snowplane at the Villa. If you missed it, the Snowplane will be at the Car Show Saturday morning.

Looking for something to do? We've got some great options at the museum this week!

Thursday, August 6 - Interested in digging and history? Bring the kids to the Archeovan from drop-in, any time from 10:00 to 4:00. All ages.

Friday, August 7 - The museum is going to meet at the Villa from 12:00 to 2:00 for kid-friendly tours of the Galloway Snowplane. Kids (4 to 15) will receive a special gift for attending.
After 2:00, bring the kids back to the museum to see the snow plane there.

Saturday, August 8 - If you missed the Galloway Snowplane on Friday, you can catch it at the Car Show downtown. And then, the museum will be open until 5:30 if you'd like to tour around.
