One of the highlights was this 1940 North American Yale. A lot of effort was made to bring this exciting piece of history.

The Independent, Serving Lambton County.

The grounds of Petrolia Discovery were alive with history Saturday as hundreds of people took advantage of the warm weather to take in the Military History in Action event.

Canadian Great War Society was on hand talking about the experience of soldiers during the First World War and running drills. A cavalry unit was also on hand.

COPA’s 403 Honour Flight did flyovers, which drew the attention of spectators and Pete Spence from Highgate who flew his Harvard over as well.

And there was a plane on the grounds so people could get an up close look. Adam Gil brought his World War Two, 1940 Yale NA-64 P-2 on display to the event.

The Military History in Action was a fundraiser for Petrolia Discovery Foundation
