One of our regular Performers of Doin' It Solo Monologue Night, Paul Massey, made this vid. He may just have started something. While many crafters may be chompin' at the bit during the C-19 pandemic isolation, we've been itchin' how to do something like this. So, thanks muchly to Paul for entertaining us with this classic that he does SO well. He's always one for inspiration and humble leadership. Who else is wanting to create or re-create a monologue so we can post it here?

Advocate and our champ for Monologue Night, Vanessa Pandos, will be doing the first of several interviews on this week's Thursday afternoon show, 'Pandamonium'. Over the next few months performers of 'Monologue Night at the Museum' will be doing their monologues and talking about their craft.

It begins with Suzanne O'Connor's performance of 'Six Years Since Being Away'. Although she plays a true-life character from 1948 returning to her homeland of Ireland, the monologue was fabricated from bits of information known about the 19th Century woman when she worked and resided at Macaulay House in Picton.

Stay tuned for info on upcoming monologues on Vanessa's Thursday afternoon show!

It seems so long ago now but it was only a year and a half ago that ‘Doin’ It Solo’ hit the stage at the Acoustic Grill in Picton. And if it weren’t for this approachable easy going man here, it wouldn’t have happened. Founder of Prince Edward Community Theatre, Lynn Fennel, said yes to this crazy idea in November 2017. He helped get the word out to fellow actors who participated in the first event. Forever grateful we are to Lynn for being an empowering figure with vision.

Performers and audience members continue to say that they knew about our DISMN community events by way of the interviews with monologurists on Vanessa Pandos' Artscene show. So we'll always be grateful to Vanessa for providing that exposure and helping this endeavour grow to what it's become today! Thx V!!
