We are hiring for two Canada Summer Jobs positions! Our first posting is for a 14-week, full-time Curatorial Assistant, $22.50/hour. See below for details!
Note: this is separate from our YCW-funded opportunities, which require enrollment in school.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented youth (under 30, as per Canada Summer Jobs funding agreement) who is interested in hands-on experience in the museum/heritage sector.
In the role of *Curatorial Assistant*, you will support the museum team in all aspects of museum exhibits.
Depending on your interest and skills, the Curatorial Assistant will provide administrative, research, and logistical support for exhibitions, collections management, public programs and visitor experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for museums and a desire to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
-Assisting with exhibition planning/updating and installation
-Conducting research on belongings in the collection
-Museum interpretation & welcoming visitors
-Providing administrative support to curators
-Assisting with public programs, visitor services, and events as needed

Qualifications:
-Youth (under 30)
-Interest in history, museums, and community education
-Research, writing, and digital skills
-Outgoing and able to work independently and as part of a team
-Experience handling cash or with customer service is an asset
-Able to problem solved and creatively approach tasks
