This Thursday is our annual Teddy Bear Picnic. In addition to Teddy Bear themed activities our popular Old Time Photo Booth will be available. Dress up like an early Island homesteader and capture the moment with a photo.

Get your Fall Fair projects ready! We’re delighted to announce the return of our Second Annual Children’s Fall Fair, taking place on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

While September may seem a long way off, our young gardeners, crafters, bakers and creators are encouraged to start thinking about their entries now.

The second workshop is geared to anyone that wishes to learn more about techniques and methods used to achieve clear prints using leaves and botanicals. Workshop attendees will go home with two scarves, one silk and one cotton. All materials and most botanicals supplied. A list of botanicals that print well will be provided so attendees may bring botanical supplies if desired.

We are pleased to partner with Paulette Vieira of Black Dog Beach Designs to offer three unique workshops throughout the summer season.

Explore the world of natural dyes! This introductory workshop is perfect for beginners who are curious about natural dyeing and would like to discover the beauty of creating colour from plants.

Participants will create two hand-dyed scarves—one silk and one cotton—while learning about the plants used in natural dyeing and the techniques required to produce rich, lasting colours. This hands-on experience offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with traditional methods, experiment with natural materials, and take home two beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations.
