What a summer we had! Sadly our summer season is coming to an end. We have bid goodbye to our summer students who have gone on to complete their schooling! Thanks to Savannah, Elise, Sydney, Kiera, Alanna and Quinn for a great summer season. They coordinated activities throughout the summer, provided guided tours to our numerous visitors, and maintained our museum - inside and out - so their experience was a great one. We will miss them.
We are open all weekend, however starting next week we will be open our off-season hours of Wednesday and Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm. Hilary and Alice are here to provide guided tours! Be sure to come visit!

Thank you to everyone for a stellar open season at the Cold Lake Museums this year. We have seen an overall enthusiastic response to the changes and additions we implemented this year, especially our Children's Museum Programming. We hope to expand on it next year. Adieu, for now.

Today was a milestone day for our train diorama build! Rick and Jamie McPhee from Monashee Laser Engineering, in Calgary, delivered 4 completed grain elevator models and a CN train station building. These go a long way towards bringing our display to life. Trains are running and landscape work continues. Be sure to visit us to see the progress!
Many thanks to Roy Gillis and Steve Friendly, the dedicated volunteers whose vision is coming to fruition.

On Friday, August 14, we welcome Big Smoke Bonnyville for their 2026 BBQ competition and on Monday, August 17 we are hosting the 10th Annual Rolling Barrage for this stop of their coast-to-coast ride to raise awareness for PTSD.

All ages are welcome to both events, and we are so excited to say that there will be free entry to the grounds for both of these events.
