Rogue Arts Festival

Rogue Arts Festival The Rogue Arts Festival is a 3 day outdoor, music and arts festival on the Sunshine Coast, BC. Why Rogue? Because doing things a bit differently is okay by us.

The Rogue Arts Festival is a 3 day outdoor, multidisciplinary arts festival including music, performance and visual arts, workshops, vendors, demonstrations, and whatever else is conjured up! Based on The Sunshine Coast, BC, the festival is produced by the not-for-profit, Coast Rogue Arts Society which focuses on offering a broader definition of the word ‘art’, fostering social inclusion, and prom

oting collaboration and interactivity. Art is defined as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. So who does that include? We believe it can include everyone. Festivals by nature bring people together. They have a unique opportunity to provide the platform for cross-genres of people and experiences to come together. People that perhaps never would have. Arts Festivals. Truly one of the truest types of community building there is.

ARTIST ALERT - STOKED to have Marketplace at Hackett Goes Rogue this Sunday, August 17th @ 1:30pm!!
Marketplace, the politically driven, activist and anti-capitalist acoustic folk project of brothers Chris and Josh Hergesheimer was born in East Vancouver 24 years ago. With two decades passed since the last album and final show, Marketplace has made a unique comeback. The 2024 reboot saw Chris Hergesheimer, son Solomon Hergesheimer (19) and co-founder Josh Hergesheimer perform as a trio from the catalogue of original music and highlight the fact the timeless themes of resistance & activism remain and the calls to action to speak up and speak out loud live on. Poignant lyrics, snappy and simple guitars deep rolling basslines, Marketplace plays modern folk music for resistance and hope with the energy and passion to match.

ARTIST ALERT - we're thrilled to welcome back Tyler Bartfai to the Rogue fold!
Performing August 17th at 12:30 as part of Hackett Goes Rogue Tyler Bartfai’s music is genre and time blending, with a playful charisma and a laid-back approach. His lyrics are strong, yet vulnerable, and his vocals have been described as modernly soulful. Tyler writes and performs to help bridge the gap between the audiences and themselves, leaving souls refreshed and loves renewed. A little bit of folk, a little bit of rock & roll, with a splash of the blues.
