✨️As 2025 came to an end, Capitol Arts Market Gallery quietly locked its door for the last time. 💫
We would just like to thank our wonderful artists and artisans both present and past for all their dedication, creativity, and passion for keeping this gallery running and alive for the past 7 years. We could not have made it this long without you.
Heartfelt gratitude to all our customers who visited the gallery ( some of you many, many times!) for all the kind words of encouragement and for all the wonderful artworks and artisan pieces that found forever homes with you. You are the reason that artists and artisans keep creating and staying on their creative journies.
Thank you to our downtown community for your kindness and support over the years.
And last but not least, a very big thank you to our very kind landlord who was always willing to work with us over the years so that we could keep our doors open as long as we did.
Our wish to you all for 2026 is that it's a year full of love and laughter, great health, and very special memories to be made.

Today and tomorrow are the last two days that the gallery will be OPEN 11-5.
The gallery will be permanently closed as of 5:00 pm tomorrow-December 31st 2025.
We have so many beautiful artworks and fabulous artisan items still to choose from.

We are OPEN today from 11-5 and very talented Photographer Larry Monczka is in the gallery.
Larry has been a Photographer for many years, and he has some wonderful books published of his beautiful photographs.
He has been wandering the pathways and paddling the waterways of Norfolk County and beyond searching for those very special moments in time.
Larry's photos are visually stunning, and the soft focus offers an impressionistic feeling that evokes a moment of calmness when viewed.

Very talented Artist Debbie Near is in the gallery today from 11-5.
From her home studio in Port Dover, Debbie designs and creates imaginative and bright paintings in acrylic and watercolour techniques. She is very inspired by nature and her surroundings in and around Norfolk County, and her landscapes offer a moment to pause and wander through her paintings.
Debbie has also added the ancient art of sumi-e Japanese ink painting into her artistic practice.
She uses this delicate painting technique to adorn her carefully crafted handmade tea and trinket boxes.

Very talented Artist Susan Bennett is in the gallery today from 10-3:30.
Susan is very much inspired by her surroundings living si close to Backus Woods Conservation Area.
She uses her palette knife and oil paint to design and create dynamic and richly textured paintings.
Susan strives to capture moments in time with the hopes of evoking feelings and memories for the viewer.
Susan offers workshops teaching this technique and loves passing her passion for Art onto others.

We are OPEN from 11-5 and there are two very talented Artist members in today.
Phyllis Zapadinsky designs and creates imaginative and functional pieces using glass and clay techniques. Her pieces are all individually handmade and truly unique. They make fabulous gifts for someone special on your list ✨️
Jim Jackson uses air brush painting techniques to design and create his paintings. His paintings are bright and detailed and have a soft focus feel to them. There is an incredible sense of depth in his work.

The gallery is OPEN from 11-5 and very talented Woodworking Artisan Tony Kokus will be in today.
Tony designs and creates imaginative and intricate pieces using a CNC Woodworking machine.
Each piece is individually made using a variety of local wood and carefully finished.
Tony is open to commission work and enjoys working with clients to design a special keepsake item in wood that will be be a fabulous addition to your own collection or to give as a very special keepsake gift.

Very talented Artist Kristi Osinga is in the gallery today from 10-3:30.
Kristi designs and creates intricate and imaginative paintings using watercolour and coffee as her mediums of choice.
Kristi's work is very illustrative in feeling and very detailed and her chosen subjects come to life on her canvas.
Kristi is open to commission work of favourite pets and special places.

Our very talented Glass Artisan Ingrid Zyma-Irvin is the featured artist until the end of the month.
Ingrid designs and creates imaginative and functional pieces using fused glass and stained glass techniques.
Her items are brightly coloured and shimmer in the light.
Ingrid has been working with glass for many years, and the skill and care she applies to every piece is evident in her work. Each piece is individually handmade and truly unique.
Ingrid teaches many classes and workshops in these techniques and loves sharing her creativity and passion for creating with glass onto others.
