The sunset series has begun! Looking forward to painting all the sunrise and sunset photos I’ve accumulated- ok - perhaps only a small, intensely curated selection of them - on all sizes of canvas. This time of year we see some incredible sights in the sky, to the start and end of the day. I’d like to share them with you in these paintings:

The first of the series started years ago in Red Bay Ontario. We were presented with the most incredible sunset ever seen in my lifetime. I captured it on a 10”x10” canvas.

The next two are from lakeside viewing at different lakes in Ontario.

Hope you enjoy them! You will be able to see or purchase these at the Stratford Art In The Park shows during the summer.

Stratford Art in the Park — opening weekend!

Unfortunately, Saturday was mostly rained out (although a few hardy artists stayed the course!), but Sunday turned out to be a gem.

Here are a few photos from day one. It was wonderful meeting visitors who stopped by, and also so nice to meet the new artists joining the show this year.

I’ll keep you posted on the days I plan to be in the park throughout the season!

Two weeks to go! Holy smokes - I’m madly working away to get ready for summer in the park. I love the atmosphere and the visitors who stop to chat. Spending time with like minded artists during the down time is also why I love this gig.

May 16th, weather permitting I will be at Stratford In The Park! Hope to see you there.

Around the World with birds!
I thought it was time to spread my wings 😁 and try painting birds. I have painted some large birds such as the Blue Heron but these little ones caught my attention when scrolling the world of birds online.

You’ll find the following
- Chickadee
- Cedar Waxwing
- Black Capped Piprite
- Japanese Robin

These are all acrylic on 6” gallery stretched canvas. The Stratford Art in the Park season opens May 16, 2026 and you will find these paintings and many others from my collection of both small and large paintings - landscapes, waterscapes, birds and sunsets. A large variety to peak your interest.
