How about luck versus wisdom?...Yesterday eve around 8:30 pm riding on HW11/17 East I had a pleasure feeling what good ABS system on the motorcycle means! One of the magnificent creatures like that on the picture has decided to cross the highway from right to left. I would say just about 15 meters in front of me he jumped on the highway and started running... Speed was about 60 mph. Well, my body has done what it was taught to do by our great instructors led by Greg Stein (Motorcycle Safety Training Organization North Western Ontario). Did not have time to think, my primal reflexes kicked in. The motorcycle performed safe speed reduction maneuver, the rear wheel had a little leftward skid but it felt well controlled. The deer was amazed by such a riding ability))), smiled at me and returned back to the forest. The bike I was riding was 2009 Harley Davidson Electra Glide CVO which is equipped with ABS. It worked well. I got lucky riding that bike yesterday. Now the wisdom part: keep speed limit. I would have been able to "pet" that deer if I had been riding 5mph faster). Stay alert, respect your peers riders and be aware of road danger! But most importantly keep riding and enjoy it!

Today there was a first ride made by Sasha Piskun one of Kisselgoff Motorcycle Museum membership holders after completing motorcylce safety course. First real ride with M2 license! Congrats!!! Kisselgoff David and Vitaly Shmel took him along the Lakeshore drive to the Firestation and then back to town. Sasha Piskun rode 2007 Suzuki Boulevard C90, Vitaly was on 2015 Yamaha Raider and Dave took 1998 Honda Valkyrie. All these are Museum bikes which still get to be ridden frequently. I bet the first ride is like first love. Will be hard to forget)
