MODERN IMPRESSIONISM - PLAY
Case Mackeen & Adrian Hayles
May 14th-24th ‘26
Reception May 14th, 6-10pm

The dynamic duo of Case Mackeen and Adrian Hayles are back at it again. It’s been a while since they added to their ever popular Modern Impressionism series. Previous series Parades, Protests and Pandemic were very well received and the daubs and blobs that have become signature to the style. These pieces make you question your vision and disorient you in the best ways.

Join us at Worth Gallery on May 14th from 6-10pm for the Modern Impressionism - Play Series reception. These spray paint pieces are a modern take on the classic Impressionism style, portraying blurred reflections of modern Canadian society at play. They are in themselves playful interpretations of states of play.

Join us for Frequency — a monthly live music series at Worth Gallery. Frequency spotlights BIPOC musicians of varying genres through intimate, stripped-back shows. Celebrating sound, connection, and creative expression in Toronto’s vibrant music scene. Find your new favorite musician in your new favorite gallery.

This edition of Frequency features Latavia, a powerhouse vocalist who offers healing through lyrics and melody.

Latavia is an R&B/Soul singer-songwriter from Brampton, Ontario. Growing up in her grandfather’s church, she began singing at the age of four and writing lyrics at age nine. Drawing inspiration from ‘90s and early 2000’s R&B, she is influenced by iconic vocalists such as Whitney Houston, Brandy and Jazmine Sullivan, artists known for their emotional vulnerability, powerful vocals and raw storytelling. She creates emotionally honest music about self-worth, love, heartbreak, and personal growth. Through her artistry, Latavia aims to inspire healing, reflection and empowerment. She has new music set to be released this year.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been four years since we opened our doors. From the insane vision of opening an art gallery during the height of a global pandemic, to the twenty day renovation window, to the massive success of the gallery. What a whirlwind of an experience this has been.

We would like to thank our friends for their support along this incredible journey. As well as all the participants at our annual Worthy Circa 4x4 Open Call. And, to the brilliant artists who have had solo exhibitions with us. Not to forget the artists who participated in our Open call. Shoutout to , and for their contributions to another successful.

Thank you to our hardworking team: for your business knowledge, infectious energy and creative prowess; .lee for brilliantly capturing our special moments; and for your enthusiasm, tenacity and consistency. You are the backbone of this organization.

Thank you to our founder for continuing to lead us steadfastly.

Last but not least, we would like to thank all our patrons who keep us going. Every bit counts.
