An upcoming Waddington's auction will include an important work from Anthony J. Batten (Tony), one of the PORDS painters who host the Salon D'Hiver every year.

Titled "Corner store near St Louis Square, Montreal" dated 1982, this is a full sheet watercolour. The watercolour is from the estate of Richard La Prairie and the auction beneficiaries will be Camp Ooch and Camps Trillium who cater to children stricken with cancer.

The auction is hosted at Waddington's Auction House and the piece can be found at Discovery Art - January 23- 28, 2021.

Sadly Tony passed away in December. In the weeks before his death he was diligently working to promote this auction to increase funds raised for the worthy charity associated with the work from this estate.

THIS YEAR, LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE, OUR ANNUAL SALON ART SHOW IS ONLINE. ALTHOUGH THE PUBLIC GATHERING IS NOT ALLOWED, WE CAN STILL SHARE THE WORK VIRTUALLY.
